Architecture field trip

Hi everyone, I have been living in Chicago for seventeen years and I have never taken the water architecture trip before. It was a great experience, also was a perfect time for the class, due that this is the theme we are studying now. It was great to go with the group.  Besides what I learned about the vast of choices for materials which the architectures used for the construction  of the building and skyscrapers, I found out a very interesting thing about a building in  which the south-east side of the building is suspended from its own structure.  Also one thing rely impressed me was the angle of the view from the river.  It is a different perspective of seeing the buildings from the water level, rather than the street level. The way the architects make usage of materials, design and dimensions to blend the buildings into the city with creativity. This great creations is what makes the Chicago city, a great city, my city.
