My architectonic experience

This is the City hall In San Francisco. This building is a replacement of the original City hall destroyed by an earthquake in 1906.  The main architect in charge of the new building was Arthur Brown Jr. In 1915.  Is located in the Civic Center area of the city. The building is the size of a city block, and it is surrounded by balconies and cornices. The photos above are the details of the balconies and the faces are centered in each window. I was impressed with the greatness of the structure. I found out the the dome is the fifth largest in the world.

  1. Interesting. How does it compare to Chicago's City Hall? Have you been in City Hall here?
